ABOUT ME
Oscar Brusse
At a young age, I became aware of my curiosity for understanding people and trying to see the world from their perspectives. This became a focus point in all of the professional & personal experiences that followed throughout my life.
I am originally from The Netherlands - currently living in beautiful Stockholm, Sweden. I have a passion for life and its people. I am constantly fascinated by human behaviour, always trying to understand what motivates the ways in which we interact with the world around us - or the ways in which the world around us allows & limits us to interact with it.
I am a UX & APX Researcher with an analytical mindset that has been shaped by years of practicing people-centric working approaches. I help well in the early stages of the design process, discovering opportunities and informing strategies, or while running relevant research during production, and translating research processes & data into actionable recommendations for stakeholders. During my years of education, as well as my years at King, I've gained a deep understanding for UX research & design methodologies which has made me very comfortable working in all stages of the design process.
Additionally, I am deeply involved in research & design processes for accessible player experiences - APX - playing an active role in building knowledge and supporting crafts in designing accessible gaming experiences.
I bring valuable experience in interdisciplinary & people-centric work, gained through 13 years of project- and office management for events and 18 years of teaching international elite-level dance.
Above all, I am a kind person who has learned much about respectful & empathetical communication while working with very diverse groups of people during all of these years.
My goal has always been to improve the lives of others, as a person, a manager, a teacher, and now also through research & design.
my work
Candy Crush Soda Saga - since 2021

At Candy Crush Soda Saga, I design, plan and manage complex research projects, within our live-game environment.
I help King to remain player-focused, by guiding our crafts and production teams during their design processes towards creating the most accessible, playable and engaging gaming experiences for our players. While doing so, I have become a key resource-point for crafts & stakeholders across the company.
I am deeply involved in King's research & design processes for accessible player experiences - APX - playing an active role in building our knowledge and supporting our crafts in designing accessible gaming experiences.
I use cross-disciplinary collaboration and mixed qualitative and quantitative research methodology approaches, while translating derived learnings into actionable recommendations for product development.
Candy Crush Saga - 2021

At Candy Crush Saga, I was a co-owner in all stages of the design processes, with main focus on research & service design. I helped to clarify what needed to be explored and I defined, planned and ran research.

I produced journey maps, participated in ideation workshops, created prototypes and conducted player(user) tests.

Besides that, I assisted in guiding our stakeholders by connecting player values to business opportunities by translating research insights & learnings into actionable recommendations.

I was deeply involved in the development of the Candy Crush All Stars tournament.
